:: Allmountain/Enduro trip in etappes ::

During 5,5 days we ride from our base camp near Alpe d'Huez,

to the Mont Ventoux, aka the cannibal.

This true point-to-point adventure lets us ride the best allmountain/enduro trails

in a constantly changing region.

We start in the high Alps with its green flowy meadows,

and notice clearly nature & trails changing in a dry and yellow rock garden.

Maximizing descends and limiting climbing is possible by daily shuttle drops.

Luggage is transported by the van, so we can ride light.

We selected charming gîte with comfortable rooms,

this way you are sure to recharge your body for the next day.

:: Sunday ::

Arrivals & prologue

We kick off at noon in our base camp at Auris. Luggage is put aside and we immediately get dressed for a first bike loop.

After the safety briefing and a bike check by our matters, we start off with the prologue ride. A couple of shuttled runs on home soil are perfect to into the mood, find your mojo and fine tune your 2-wheeled friend for upcomming week.

:: Monday ::

Alpe d'Huez → Matheysienne

This day we ride the first legend on the program: Alpe d’Huez.

The shuttle van drops us as high as possible where we continue our journey on pedal force. Speeding trough Alpine pastures with wide views, sliding aside mountain rivers and curling on forest single tracks, we search our way to the valley floor.

In the afternoon we leave the Oisans region and explore the old mining trails of the Matheysine.

:: Tuesday ::

Matheysienne → Devoluy

The menu of day 3 has the crossing of the Devoluy mountain range. This big mountain bowl is real hidden gem with top lovel bike trails. Not known yet, but that’s just a matter of time!

The trails are just fantastic: from spacious moon like fields to Southern forests, from slow tech to high speed flow… you get it, it will be a big day out with an overdose of singletracks.

:: Wednesday ::

Devoluy → Buëch

From this moment, we notice a big crossover from Alpine to Southern soil. We say goodbe to the green Alpine mountains and welcome the Provence.

After a first high speed downhill, we settle for a strong coffee on a typical Southern terrace under the plane-trees. The shuttle van collects us and drop us nearby a picturesque canyon. We travel next to the river, ride some black earth trails and arrive finally at the lake for a well-deserved swim.

:: Thursday ::

Buëch → Baronnies

The first glimpses of the Mont Ventoux are in sight, we’re getting really close!

We cross the savage national park of the Baronnies. Alongside some ridgelines and trails full of rock steps, we finally meet the olive trees (and vigues, mjam!) of Buis-Les-Baronnies.

:: Friday ::

Mont Ventoux!

Finals day: a full day of van shuttles on the mighty bold mountain, the Mont Ventoux!

Today we enjoy multiple shuttles near the top of the Mont Ventoux. From this 2000m mountain we can only go 1 directions: down! We discover all orientations of the mountain on the finest single tracks. We promise you’ll remember this day!

:: Saturday ::

return journey to Alpe d'Huez

The route in this description is subjected to potentially changes. External factors, like weather conditions, can influence the exact itinery.

:: The ride ::

This point-to-point journey is aimed for allmountain/enduro bikers.

We climb at our own peace to get rewarded with long, endless single track descents. The trails can and will be technically challenging, but will never be extremely difficult.

A typical day has:

~1200m climbing

>2200m descending!

Questions or remarks? - don’t hesitate and contact us!

level 3 - fit

You are able to ride at sustained peace

during +6 hours a day.

Climbing daily 1200 height meters

during 5 consecutive days is no problemo.

You can carry your bike for short distances.

level 2/3 - intermediate/advanced

You're able to climb and descend in fully control

on moderate steep singletracks

with loose rocks and slippery roots.

You can ride small unexpected jumps and drops (<50cm).

You're a mountainbiker with some experience

in mountaineous terrain.

The ideal bike for this trip is

a fully suspendend allmountain bike

with 140mm dropper

and a dropper seatpost.

More travel gives you more fun in the descents.

Less travel gives you wings in the climbs.

Legenduro offers you a fully organised mtb holiday. Aside the biking, we also take care of the second part: a professionally organised holiday.

We start the trip in our own chalet with the tasty cooking of our chef Anne. Once we hit the road, we sleep in charming gîte/B&B in authentic villages where we're get a warm welcome of the local people.

On the last day, we spoil ourself with a cosy hotel and a dinner “à la carte” on the terrace under plane-trees next to the Mont Ventoux.

Breakfast, lunch and on-the-bike-snacks are provided by our means. Each evening, dinner is served to fully charge the body for the next day.
